What creates dimension?
The difference is not just shape. It is how the sign is built. Pocketed letters and logo pieces are carved separately, painted separately, then set into the sign face. That creates cleaner color, painted sides, deeper shadows, and a richer finished profile, with more shadow lines, more color separation, more depth from every angle, and more hand-finished detail.
All three options are fully custom, expertly designed and constructed with premium materials. They differ only in dimensionality, finish complexity, and component assembly.

What are your carved dimensional signs made from?
Our dimensional signs are fabricated from professional-grade High Density Urethane (HDU), along with appropriate structural, mounting, and decorative components. HDU is an excellent material for exterior dimensional signage, far superior to wood, because it does not absorb moisture (zero) and it does not expand or shrink in our Summit County temperature extremes. It is also the perfect material for precision detailed carving on our CNC machines. These characteristics enable us to use the highest quality paints available, with confidence that the finishes will last longer than any other carved material available.

Yes. Properly designed and fabricated HDU signs are exceptionally well suited for Colorado’s demanding mountain environment.
